  • I will discuss a p-adic formula for classical Heegner points on elliptic curves in terms of special values of certain p-adic L-functions - this is joint work with Henri Darmon and Victor Rotger. The formula has a natural generalisation which conjecturally yields other new types of global points. It was discovered experimentally using the Magma computer algebra package.
