Continuing from the previous talk, I will discuss obstructions to descent, and the associated conjectures. I will also discuss the problem of finding models of the covering curves with minimal degree (as hyperelliptic curves in the case of 2-descent), and the obstruction to this. Then I will describe 4-descent and 3-descent.
