  • I will explain some techniques that work well in practice to exhibit suspected non-trivial elements of order 2 in Tate-Shafarevich groups of Jacobians of hyperelliptic curves. I will concentrate on some phenomena that occur in genus 2 that have no analogue in the genus 1 case.
